Symbiotic Roots

a living weave of creativity, care, and regeneration

When we nurture ecosystems, we nurture ourselves; when we support individual transformation, we strengthen our communities.

Symbiotic Roots is a cultural and educational association rooted in the vision of fostering regeneration at personal, social, and ecological levels. We integrate embodied practices, expressive arts, sustainability, and non-formal education to cultivate resilience, creativity, and wellbeing.

We believe in interdependence as a vital principle: when we nurture the health of ecosystems, we also strengthen social resilience and individual wellbeing. We embrace an educational, artistic, and experiential approach that fosters creativity, somatic awareness, and personal and collective empowerment.

We are four women from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, united by the commitment to weave together knowledge, care, and creativity to support transformative processes in people and communities.

We design experiences where participants are invited to explore, create, and embody new ways of relating to themselves, their communities, and the ecosystems around them.

Our work is grounded in methodologies that invite creativity, participation, and embodied awareness. By weaving together different disciplines and approaches, we create learning experiences that are both innovative and deeply human.

Transdisciplinarity

We bring together knowledge and practices from diverse fields: arts, education, ecology, and wellbeing into a dynamic dialogue that inspires new perspectives and regenerative solutions.

Expressive Arts

Through movement, writing, voice, and visual arts, we use creativity as a pathway for exploration, resilience, and transformation. Artistic expression becomes a tool for both personal and collective change.

Embodiment

The body is at the center of our approach. We cultivate somatic awareness as a resource for grounding, resilience, and reconnection with oneself, with others, and with the natural world.

Participatory Methods

We believe in the wisdom of the group. Our methods encourage active participation, co-creation, and dialogue, empowering communities to imagine and build change together.

Non-Formal Education

Learning is experiential, interactive, and accessible. We design activities that move beyond traditional models, creating spaces where knowledge is lived, shared, and embodied.

Systemic Regeneration

We work with an integrative lens that connects ecosystems, communities, and individuals as interdependent parts of a whole. By addressing the systemic roots of challenges, we co-create practices that regenerate social, cultural, and ecological life.

Projects

Our projects grow from diversity and collaboration, connecting people, cultures, and territories through creativity, care, and innovation. We develop educational programs for institutions and youth workers, European collaborations, and embodiment & creative labs that foster resilience and transformation. Alongside these experiences, we create resources and publications that support facilitators, educators, and communities in cultivating regenerative practices.

Resilient Regeneration: Ecosystems, Bodies & Wellbeing

An Erasmus+ training course for youth workers that explores the interconnection between ecological regeneration, embodied practices, and mental health. Through somatic, artistic, and participatory methods, participants learn to foster resilience, accompany processes of change, and support young people in navigating uncertainty.

Wild Womb: Menstrual education, Sovereignty & Sustainability

An Erasmus + training course that reclaims menstruation as a cultural, social, and ecological experience. Wild Womb creates collective spaces where menstrual cycles are explored through arts, somatic practices, and feminist perspectives. It empowers participants to embrace body literacy, dismantle taboos, and cultivate sovereignty over their cycles as part of a wider movement of cultural change.
